According to the method, voxelization is performed on the geometric object, and Gaussian filtering is performed on the voxelized geometric object, so thatreference volume data containing the relevant information of the geometric object are obtained; the reference volume data are adopted to control the volume rendering process of selected attribute volume data on the basis of a ray casting method; the geometric object is superimposed on the volume rendering result of the attribute volume data in the same view space; and therefore, a volume rendering result incorporating the geometric object is obtained. Since a geometric visualization result and a volume rendering result are combined in the same view space, the occlusion problem of a general fusion method is solved, the visibility of the geometric object can be ensured, and the simultaneous display of local details and global situations in a three-dimensional multivariate data field can bebenefitted, and thus, the visual analysis efficiency of the three-dimensional multivariate data field can be improved.
