The hanging bookcase comprises a cross beam fixed on the wall and a plurality of placement tables for placement of books,wherein mounting holes are formed in four corners of each placement table, each placement table and the cross beam are connected through four pull ropes, one end of each pull rope is connected with the cross beam, and the other end of each pull rope is connected with the corresponding mounting hole; a limiting groove for accommodating bottoms of the books is formed in the top surface of each placement table, and a positioning assembly is arranged on one side wall of the limiting groove and comprises a pushing strip used for pushing and pressing the bottoms of the books to the other side wallof the limiting groove and a compression spring connected between the pushing strip and one side wall of the limiting groove. The hanging bookcase is novel in structure, concise and elegant in designand convenient to assemble and disassemble and requires a few materials, and with adoption of the design of cooperation of the limiting groove and the positioning assembly on the top surface of each placement table, the books are not prone to falling off from the placement table in case of external force and are placed stably.
