According to the embodiment of the invention, the target detection is carried out on the target video frames through adoption of the target detection model and the target regions namely ROI are dynamically determined along with the change of video images, so the terminal can carry out the video coding based onthe dynamically determined ROI through adoption of the ROI coding algorithm subsequently, the coding quality and stability of the target regions are effectively ensured, moreover, a coding rate of the target video is reduced, and the video coding efficiency is improved.
