Abstract

The invention discloses a WLAN link establishment method and device. The method comprises the steps that a first network device adopts an initial bandwidth broadcast detection request to detect whether a detection response corresponding to the detection request and sent by a second network device is received or not; if the detection response is not received, then an adjusted bandwidth broadcast detection request is adopted, and the step of detecting whether the detection response corresponding to the detection request and sent by the second network device is received or not is executed again,wherein the adjusted bandwidth refers to the bandwidth smaller than the bandwidth used last time; and if the detection response is received, a WLAN link is established with the second network device,wherein the bandwidth of the WLAN link is the bandwidth used when the detection response is received. According to the scheme provided by the WLAN link establishment method and device, under the condition that the detection response corresponding to the detection request is not received, the detection request is sent again by adopting the smaller adjusted bandwidth, so that the detection range isexpanded, and the WLAN link is successfully established.
