A coaxial connector (10) is provided with: a receptacle (1) configured at a terminalof a coaxial cable (Cb); an outer housing (2) with a locking arm (2a) having a terminal receiving chamber (2r) therein into which the receptacle (1) can be introduced; and a retainer (3) for lockingthe socket (1) in the terminal housing chamber (2r), wherein the socket (1) has one annular band (143) protruding toward the outer periphery of the external contact (14). The external housing (2) hasa housing lance (21) that prevents the annular band (143) inserted into the terminal housing chamber (2r) from falling off. The retainer (3) has a pair of locking claw pieces (3d, 3d) branched into two so as to be insertable into locking holes (2h, 2h) of the outer housing (2).
