Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device for dividing a plurality of storage devices into device groups. The method comprises the following steps: allocating a special device group (comprising atleast one storage device) to each service subsystem under a service system, and determining the number of storage devices taking a solid state disk as a storage medium in the device group corresponding to each service subsystem based on the frequency of executing data read-write operation by each service subsystem. The more frequently the data read-write operations are executed, the larger the number of target devices corresponding to the service subsystems is; and for any service subsystem, the number of the target devices corresponding to the service subsystem is the number of the storage devices taking the solid state disk as the storage medium in the device group corresponding to the service subsystem.
