Accordingto the invention, high-density polyethylene is used as a main body, and linear low-density polyethylene and high-pressure low-density polyethylene are used as auxiliary materials; by adding the rubber components, the polyethylene composition has excellent low-temperature impact resistance, and is suitable for preparation of the hazardous waste storage containers, especially medium-and-low-level nuclear waste storage containers; and the hazardous waste storage containers are allowed to have excellent low-temperature impact resistance, and can store medium-and-low-level nuclear waste at a low temperature for 300 years or more.
