Abstract

According to the implementation scheme, on the basis of a gradient enhanced decision tree GBDT method, corresponding explanatory variables are obtained according to multiple traffic factors including the number of lanes, traffic flow and a signal control strategy which are easy to obtain, the variables are used for modeling the performance of a road network, training testing and parameter optimization are carried out on a model, and the average vehicle speed in the road network is predicted by using the optimized model, and the factors influencing the performance of the road network are sorted based on the model, thereby identifying the root cause of the traffic congestion. According to the method, contribution of various factors in a road network to road congestion is observed by using a gradient enhancement decision tree method, the factors causing the congestion are found, the reasons causing the traffic congestion are effectively identified, and the result is accurate and reliable.
