Abstract

The present invention discloses a ring downloading based on infrared ray communication and converting apparatus and method for mobile communication terminal. The apparatus includes: an infrared data receiving part for receiving audio data from computer through infrared ray (IrDA); a ring format converting part for converting the audio data received by the infrared receiving part to ring format supported by corresponding terminal; a memory for storing the audio data after format conversion by the ring format converting part; a key input part provided for user to input the command relative to the audio data download and ring setting; a display part for outputting the menu and corresponding command running picture required by the user for inputting the command; and a central processing device for controlling the component element and processing the user's command.
