A transect is a path along which one counts and records occurrences of the species of study (e.g. plants). It is less effective than other methods, such as the Belt Transect. It requires an observer to move along a fixed path and to count occurrences along the path and, at the same time (in some procedures), obtain the distance of the object from the path. This results in an estimate of the area covered and an estimate of the way in which detectability increases from probability 0 (far from the path) towards 1 (near the path). Using the raw count and this probability function, one can arrive at an estimate of the actual density of objects.
An unmanned ship-based ocean hydrological multi-parameter section observation system and method
This invention discloses a multi-parameter transect observation system and method for marine hydrology based on an unmanned vessel, relating to the field of transect observation. It addresses the problem of poor observation results in existing marine transect observation systems. The system includes a transect temperature module: performing water depth and temperature analysis on sample marine observation transects and obtaining the corresponding transect temperature index observation coefficient based on the analysis results; a transect salinity module: performing water depth and salinity analysis on sample marine observation transects and obtaining the corresponding transect salinity index observation coefficient based on the analysis results; and an observation feedback module: assessing the water body stability of the sample marine observation transect based on the transect salinity index observation coefficient and the transect temperature index observation coefficient. This invention improves the accuracy and comprehensiveness of marine transect observation results.

Method for estimating area of coral top
The invention relates to the technical field of marine ecosystem monitoring, in particular to a coral top area estimation method, which comprises the following steps of: acquiring video stream data and scale data of corals by adopting a strip-like belt method, and establishing a coral data set; establishing a detection segmentation model, and training the detection segmentation model in the coral data set; constructing a camera motion simplified model; and calculating the ratio of the actual distance to the pixel distance between the two spaced scale feature points and the translation distance of the camera, and calculating the estimated value of the coral top area. According to the coral top area estimation method provided by the invention, video stream data of the coral is acquired through a belt-like belt method, and a detection segmentation model is established, so that automatic identification and segmentation of the coral are realized, and non-destructive area estimation calculation of the coral is realized through a camera motion simplified model; the destructive measurement of measuring personnel on the coral form and the labor cost are reduced, and the change of the coral reef ecosystem can be better understood and predicted.
