Abstract

The invention discloses a method for utilizing a mobile communication device to translate the image words and a system thereof, which are applied in the translation service of transmitting the image words retrieved by a front-end mobile communication device to a back-end server through a wireless communication network to go through the identification translation and then returning the result to the mobile communication device. The method comprises the following steps: a digital image containing words is acquired from a mobile communication device and the digital image is transmitted to a back-end server by applying a wireless communication network to identify and translate the corresponding words of the digital image into a description content in the same language or different language and then the display description content in the mobile communication device is transmitted back, thus solving the problems that the input interface for the translated contents in the mobile communication device is complicated and has a low processing speed and even no appropriate input method in foreign languages is provided for inputting the translated contents.
