[0021] In the description and claims, certain words are used to refer to specific elements. Those skilled in the art should understand that hardware manufacturers may use different terms to refer to the same component. This specification and claims do not use differences in names as a way to distinguish elements, but use differences in functions of elements as a criterion for distinguishing. The "including" mentioned in the entire specification and claims is an open term, so it should be interpreted as "including but not limited to". In addition, the term "coupled" herein includes any direct and indirect electrical connection means. Therefore, if the text describes that the first device is coupled to the second device, it means that the first device can be directly electrically connected to the second device, or indirectly electrically connected to the second device through other devices or connection means.

Abstract

A method is provided for sharing a communications channel in a wireless communications system. A network coordinating device of the wireless network obtains a first path quality information of each ofa first set of one or more communications paths between a first pair of communications devices. The coordinating device also obtains a second path quality information of each of a second set of communications paths between a second pair of communications devices. The coordinating device then determines one or more co-existing communications paths based on the first and the second path quality information in accordance with a predetermined rule. Finally, the coordinating device sends channel resource allocation information to the first pair and the second pair of communications devices to usecorresponding co-existing communications paths such that the first pair and the second pair of communications devices communicate over the communications channel during a period of time concurrently.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention generally relates to a wireless communication system, and more specifically, to a method for sharing a communication channel and a wireless communication system. Background technique [0002] Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPANs) are wireless networks used to communicate and interactively operate portable and mobile computing devices. The computing devices can be personal computers, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and peripheral devices. , Mobile phones, pagers and other consumer electronic devices. IEEE 802.15 is a working group of the IEEE802 LAN / MAN Standards Committee, which specializes in WPAN standards. [0003] For high-frequency and high-data-rate wireless networks, the IEEE 802.15.3 Task Group 3c (IEEE 802.15.3 Task Group 3c, TG3c) is developing a millimeter-wave (millimeter-wave, mmWave) based on the existing 802.15.3WPAN standard Optional Medium Access Control (MAC) and physical layer. This millimeter wave WPAN will o...
