Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method for streaming media distribution in virtual special multicasting service, a device and a system thereof, which belong to communication field. The method comprises: receiving VPMS information flooded or distributed in network by a service provider edge device PE, wherein, the VPMS information comprises a load balancing strategy; determining VPMS source according to VPMS information; establishing VPMS topology based on the determined VPMS source; distributing streaming media service data message according to the VPMS topology. The device comprises: a receiving module for determining module and establishing module. The system comprises: a first PE device and a second PE device. The scheme provided by the embodiment of the invention realizes great reduction of maintenance cost, service-lossless load protection switching, and the improvement of end-user experience.
