Abstract

The invention provides a method for displaying wireless fidelity accessing point names and a wireless communication device. The method for displaying the wireless fidelity accessing point names comprises the following steps of: receiving input data; establishing a preset wireless fidelity accessing point list according to the input data; monitoring whether a register file changes; capturing prompt information so as to obtain a plurality of original wireless fidelity accessing point names when the register file changes; and comparing the original wireless fidelity accessing point names with the preset wireless fidelity accessing point list so as to display a plurality of effective wireless fidelity accessing point names. According to the invention, the preset wireless fidelity accessing point list is generated so that the wireless communication device can be compared with the preset wireless fidelity accessing point list before displaying connectable wireless fidelity accessing point names, and wireless fidelity accessing point names which definitely are not used by a user can be screened out in advanced further, thereby reducing selecting time of the user.
