Abstract

The water reservoir device (10) is connected to the inlet location (16) of the treatment region (3). The water reservoir device (10) further comprises a suction lift (27). When operating the water-bearing household appliance (1), the water reservoir device (10) forms a reliable vapor barrier during a washing or drying process. Spillage of water and, therefore, undesired outflow of water from the water reservoir device (10) into the treatment region (3) is thus prevented.
