Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a testing method and a testing system for a virtual leased line (VLL) circuit. The method comprises the steps that a central server issues a first testing instruction to a first Ethernet probe; the first Ethernet probe sends a testing flow to an Ethernet interface on a first PE (provider edge); the first PE bridges the testing flow received by the Ethernet interface to an auxiliary basic data service interface through a heterogeneous medium adaptation technique; the auxiliary basic data service interface transmits the testing flow to a basic data service interface on the first PE through an auxiliary testing line; the basic data service interface sends the testing flow to an Ethernet interface of a second PE through the VLL circuit, and retransmits the testing flow to a second Ethernet probe; the first Ethernet probe and the second Ethernet probe compute together based on the testing flow to obtain a first testing result; and the first Ethernet probe reports the first testing result to the central server.
