By using the continuous phase 8PSK modulation method of the invention, a transition waveform whose phase is continuous with a previous data waveform phase is used so that a modulation waveform of the current data is smoothly transited and continuity of the modulation waveform is realized. Phase hopping existing in the modulation waveforms of data which is sent by adjacent clocks according to a time sequence is eliminated so that a pulse response generated because of the phase hopping is eliminated too.
