Abstract

The invention provides a method and a base station for reconstruction of radio resource control (RRC) connection. The method comprises that the base station detects whether data transmission between the base station and user equipment is normal or not; when the data transmission is abnormal, the base station sends a signal to the user equipment (UE), so that UE can carry out reconstruction of RRC connection according to the signal; and the base station receives and processes reconstruction request of RRC connection sent by the UE. The base station can actively trigger the UE to initiate the reconstruction of RRC connection when the data transmission between the base station and the user equipment is abnormal, thereby preventing interruption of data transmission and reducing influences on the data transmission.
