Problems solved by technology

However, since public transportation operations are scheduled according to the operation graph, merely optimizing the operation plan does not guarantee that whenever a user desires to utilize public transportation, he or she will be able to utilize it
In addition, the overall convenience of the user is reduced when only public transportation is utilized due to the increased cost incurred when going to the train station or bus station

Embodiment Construction

[0051]

[0052] Before starting to describe the embodiments, transportation parameters will be explained. figure 1 is a diagram showing an example of a node arrangement and a travel route between nodes. A node is a transportation hub. In this embodiment, a node includes a starting point, a boarding station, and an alighting station (destination). In this example, reference will be made to figure 1 The network shown in , illustrates an example in which a person (hereinafter referred to as a user) starting from node A (for example, home) as a starting point goes to node C (for example, a workplace) as a destination using any means of transportation . Also, in the present embodiment, it is assumed that the node C, which is the getting off station, is the destination for the sake of simplicity. Hereinafter, routes connecting nodes will be referred to as links.

[0053] There are two routes from node A to node C. One route is that the user takes a car through link AB, and t...

Abstract

In order to obtain a traffic flow when a specific condition is given to a target transportation network, transportation condition data which is data representing time constraints of traveling by first transportation means whose operation is not scheduled, a transportation parameter which is a parameter related to an operation of second transportation means whose operation is scheduled, and a travel demand which is data representing the number of traveling users for each desired arrival time and destination are respectively acquired. In addition, a template for generating a mathematical model representing travel of users between nodes is stored. By applying the transportation condition data, the transportation parameter, and the travel demand to the template, a mathematical model representing travel of users between nodes is generated. A traffic flow is obtained by solving an optimization problem that is formulated by the mathematical model.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to techniques for creating optimal transportation plans for transportation networks employing multimodal transportation. Background technique [0002] In the field of transportation, there is an urgent need to address environmental issues. For example, by switching users who normally travel by private car to public transportation, it is possible to reduce environmental impact by reducing CO2 emissions and the like. [0003] A technique to optimize the running schedule of trains or buses to make public transportation more convenient is proposed. For example, Patent Document 1 describes an operating system of transportation means capable of creating an operating plan that meets the user's preference by collecting information about a desired travel route and travel time from the user. [0004] Environmental impact can be minimized if all traveling users utilize public transport. However, since the operation of public trans...
