The method comprises the steps of: setting multiple webpage containers for a flow of a user in a page based on flow steps, wherein each webpage container corresponds to at least a flow step; receiving input of the user and identifying the input; if the input of the user is a first operation command, modifying patterns of the webpage containers corresponding to the current flow step and the flow steps after the current flow step to enable the corresponding webpage containers to be displayed in the current page via a section form; if the input is a second operation command, modifying the patterns of the webpage containers corresponding to the current flow step and the flow steps before the current flow step to enable the corresponding webpage containers to be displayed in the current page via the section form. The device comprises an identification module and a switching module. The method and device are convenient for the user to operate the flow selectively; the webpage containers are in one page, so that data loss is avoided.
