Abstract

Extruded polystyrene boards or rock wool boards serve as thermal insulation materials of the traditional residence pitched roof in the regions south of the Yangtze River so that the thermal performance of the traditional residence roof can be improved. Rafters are laid on roof purlines of a residence wood structure beam frame, cedarwood roofing boards which are 8 mm thick are densely laid on the rafters, thermal insulation boards which are 50 mm thick, cedarwood roofing boards which are 12 mm thick and ethylene-propylene-diene-terpolymer waterproof rolls are sequentially laid on the cedarwood roofing boards which are 8 mm thick, and the waterproof rolls are paved with Chinese-style tiles. Extruded polystyrene boards or rock wool boards which are 50 mm thick are adopted as a thermal insulation layer of the roof, the summer indoor thermal environment in a traditional residence in the regions south of the Yangtze River can be greatly improved, the added thermal insulation layer in the roof structure is not exposed indoors or outdoors, and therefore it is guaranteed that the original roof appearance of the traditional residence is not changed.
