The output of the insulation detection modules is connected to a signal input terminal of the controller. During the insulation detection, for any one battery module, firstly current values on a positive electrode detection resistor and on a negative electrode detection resistor corresponding to the battery module are collected. Then the collected two current values are compared. When an error between the two current values is larger than a preset first comparison threshold, the battery module is judged as defective insulation.
