Embodiment approach

[0211] According to one embodiment, one or more of the following may also be included: a filter for filtering the solution in the holding tank, an oxygen tank for supplying oxygen to the holding tank, a fractionator for removing protein foam, A heat exchange tank for temperature control, and one or more chemical tanks for storing chemicals to modify one or more aquaculture factors.

[0212] When processing is complete, an alert can be raised.

[0213] Commercial advantages of the present invention include: significantly lower freight costs when live fish are transported with no or significantly less water; significantly lower carbon emissions associated with global shipments of fresh seafood; by reducing stress levels and undergoing ante-mortem rest , improving meat quality and freshness; reducing the appearance of split meat, softening, severe hardening, unsatisfactory pH, lactic acid levels, blood spots, etc.; humane handling and processing of the product, fish welfare durin...

example

[0274] 1. Aquaculture device, system and method (AquaLuminetics)

[0275] Technology regarding photoperiods has been discussed with leading Tasmanian salmon hatcheries. The company is a global leader in the use of segmentation technology in aquaculture. The method, device and system were tested. Aqua-Luminetics are described below TM Details of the test, the initial income it generates and the general operation of a Tasmanian salmon hatchery.

[0276] Upcoming industrial testing of aquaculture devices, systems and methods was initiated using two devices. Each unit contained 6 computer controlled LED lights, with the computer control system 200 assigned to each of the two test slots. Each test tank holds 60,000 fingerlings.

[0277] The device will emit light at the precise bandwidth and intensity required to maximize growth rate of the species, effectively control physical and sexual maturation, and maximize fish welfare. Aqua-Luminetics TM No power is wasted emitting...

Abstract

The invention discloses an aquaculture device, system and method. A conditioning composition for conditioning a species subject of aquaculture comprising a buffer; a carbonate buffer; a salt; and an electrolyte is disclosed. Also disclosed is an aquaculture product conditioning device comprising: a holding unit for holding an aquaculture product; a cartridge comprising the conditioning composition; and a computer for controlling the temperature of the holding unit and for controlling a dosing of the holding unit with the conditioning composition. The computer may receive a value for one or more aquaculture factor; determine from the received aquaculture factor if the temperature, dosing and / or aquaculture factor should be altered; and when the determination provides that the temperature, dosing or aquaculture factor should be altered then altering the temperature, dosing or aquaculture factor; and delivering dosing, altered temperature or altered aquaculture factor in accordance with the determination. An aquaculture product transportation device is also disclosed.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention described herein relates generally to aquaculture devices, systems and methods and conditioning and delivery devices, systems and methods for aquaculture products. In particular, the present invention relates to aquaculture devices, systems and methods in which a novel conditioning composition is used, although the scope of the invention is not limited thereto. Background technique [0002] It has been scientifically proven that natural light can be used to control the ripening and development of many types of fish and seafood. Key environmental factors synchronize all stages of development from embryonic growth to maturity in many species. [0003] Control of artificial light or photoperiod control is widely used in the global aquaculture industry to increase growth rate and control physical and sexual maturation of most cultured species. [0004] While photoperiod control is widely used, it has been scientifically proven that optimal ...
