The terminal for storage partitioning comprises a terminal with an EMMC (Embedded Multi Media Card), wherein the EMMC comprises a controller and a storage medium; a partitioning register is arranged in the controller; the storage medium comprises at least two system operation partitions which are independent from each other; the at least two system operation partitions which are independent from each other are obtained in a manner that the storage medium of the EMMC is partitioned by the controller according to presetting of the partitioning register. The method for storage partitioning comprises the following steps: when a terminal is in a powered start state, only starting a first system operation partition of the at least two system operation partitions which are independent from each other, wherein the first system operation partition has no data interaction with other unpowered system operation partition; storing and accessing data on the first system operation partition through the terminal. According to the embodiment, different requirements of users can be met if one EMMC is arranged in the terminal, so that the cost is reduced, and the design is simple and flexible.
