The obtained sediment is the cordyceps militaris polysaccharide. The invention further discloses application of the cordyceps militaris polysaccharide in an aspect of preparing functional constipation treating medicine. Experiments show that the cordyceps militaris polysaccharide disclosed by the invention can obviously improve the content of motilin (MTL), gastrin (GAS), somatostation (SS) and P substance in serum and improve functional constipation.
