Abstract

The method comprises the steps: depth images are acquired as input, smooth process is performed on each depth image, a selective difference value of each segmentation area are calculated, and an initial saliency image is optimized according to center preference, so that a final saliency detection result is obtained. Use of the method solves a problem that an object of which visual features are similar with the background can not be detected purely based on a color image and a problem that a bottom background area ignored based on a depth image causes false detection. According to the invention, the method is suitable for saliency detection method of the depth image, the computation complexity is relatively low, the detection result is accurate, and the method has wide application in the field of image processing and computer vision.
