Abstract

The invention discloses a rumination recognition method based on nosepiece pressure change of a ruminant and belongs to the technical field of healthy culture of livestock and poultry. Rumination behaviors can be used for monitoring an estrous period and feeding condition of ruminants (mainly referring to domestic animals such as cattle and sheep) and reflecting physiological health status and the like of the animals. According to the method, a pressure sensor is adopted to acquire pressure signals of a nosepiece of the ruminant, rumination signals, food intake signals and water drinking signals can be preliminarily distinguished according to signal duration and whether the signals have stable frequencies or not, then, the rumination signals are further analyzed, boluses are measured according to peak value intervals of the rumination signals, and changes of the boluses can be used for reflecting health condition of the ruminant. According to the method, through measuring the pressure signals of the nosepiece of the ruminant to monitor rumination, environment noise interference can be effectively lowered, and thus, the accurate recognition and measurement of the rumination behaviors of animal individuals are achieved.
