Compared with the prior art, the rough cleaning and sorting method and device of tomatoes, provided by the invention, have the advantages that by virtue of rationalized arrangement of a multi-level gravity type sorting device and rationalized design of transfer circulation channels, the removing ratio of green fruits is improved from the source, combination of rough cleaning and sorting is realized, processes are simplified, and the cost is reduced; a circulation channel gate is designed to be adjustable, so that the degree of automation of a system is improved; weight sorting is rationalized in rough cleaning, so that the workload of an independent sorting system is alleviated; and the opening and closing of the device are freely and simply controlled, so that the excessive loss of the device is reduced, and the service life of the device is prolonged.
