Abstract

Subject matter are aqueous, low-VOC / SVOC universal pigment preparations comprising a pigment component; a water-soluble, nonionic, surface-active additive comprising a copolymer formed from a vinyl monomer and from an ethylenically unsaturated monomer selected from the group consisting of monocarboxylic esters, dicarboxylic esters, monocarboxamides, and dicarboxamides, the vinyl monomer and / or theethylenically unsaturated monomer containing an N-containing group with pigment affinity; a phosphoric or phosphonic ester, and optionally customary additives. The aqueous pigment preparations are suitable for the coloring of inks, paints, and renders, especially in metering systems at the point of sale or in in-plant tinting systems.

[0001] The present invention relates to aqueous pigment preparations, their preparation and their use in coloring paints, inks or renders, preferably in metering systems at the point of sale (POS) or in-plant tinting use in the system. Background of the invention [0002] Liquid systems such as paints, varnishes, emulsion paints and printing inks are usually pigmented using pigment preparations comprising water, organic solvents or combinations thereof. In addition to anionic, cationic, nonionic or amphoteric dispersants, these pigment preparations often have to be combined with other auxiliaries such as wetting agents, agents for increasing frost resistance, thickeners for stabilization, biocides and defoamers mix.
