The water-repellent finishing liquid is prepared from the following components in percentage by mass: 0.5 to 5 percent of a water repellent agent, 80 to 95 percent of water, 1 to 5 percent of a thickening agent and 0.01 to 0.5 percent of ammonia water, wherein the mass percent concentration of the ammonia wateris 15 to 20 percent. According to the water-repellent finishing liquid provided by the invention, a use method of the water-repellent finishing liquid is changed by preparing the water repellent agentinto high viscosity (the viscosity is more than or equal to 2,000 mpa.s) from low viscosity.
