Abstract

The invention discloses a broadband frequency expansion device for an optoelectronic oscillator. The broadband frequency expansion device comprises a narrowband optoelectronic oscillator, a frequencydivider, a first phase-locked loop and a second phase-locked loop. The narrowband optoelectronic oscillator is connected with input ends of the frequency divider and the first phase-locked loop. The input end of the second phase-locked loop is connected with output ends of the first phase-locked loop and the frequency divider. Frequency conversion is carried out on a signal output by the narrowband optoelectronic oscillator through the first phase-locked loop and the second phase-locked loop, and then the signal is output. According to the broadband frequency expansion device, the problem thattraditional frequency synthesized reference source phase noise cannot satisfy a quantity value transmission demand is solved; and through adoption of a multiloop frequency expansion technology, the problem that an output frequency of the optoelectronic oscillator is narrow and cannot satisfy a broadband calibration demand is solved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of optoelectronics. More specifically, it relates to a broadband frequency extension device of an optoelectronic oscillator. Background technique [0002] In the microwave and millimeter wave frequency range, the low phase noise reference sources currently on the market mainly include the imported HP8663A / B, E8257D and SMA / B series, etc. The components of these reference sources mainly include low-noise time-base links, harmonic Generator, baseband signal, intermediate frequency unit, up-conversion unit, down-conversion unit and display and control system. These microwave and millimeter wave reference sources all adopt traditional frequency synthesis schemes, the most notable disadvantage of which is that the phase noise level drops significantly as the output frequency increases. Moreover, with the improvement of the development level of the phase noise of the microwave and millimeter wave source to be tested, the ...
