Abstract

The invention relates to a short-term traffic flow prediction method based on space-time characteristic analysis. The method is applied to road traffic control, is a core part of an intelligent transportation system and mainly relates to three core technology parts, that is, traffic flow collection and pretreatment, data sample optimization and traffic flow prediction. The traffic flow collectionand pretreatment technology provides historical experimental data, stores prediction data and exports real-time comparison data; the data sample optimization technology obtains high-quality training set samples by carrying out processing through an OPTICS clustering method and based on traffic flow space-time correlation properties; and the traffic flow prediction technology constructs a short-term traffic flow prediction mode with a SVM being a carrier based on the training samples, optimizes key parameters therein through a BFOA algorithm to improve model performance, and realizes real-timeand accurate traffic flow prediction, thereby facilitating a road traffic management system to allocate and utilize road resources effectively, relieving traffic jam, improving operating efficiency and facilitating trip of residents.
