Abstract

The method includes: extracting hot words from a text corpus of a preset time period; combining two hot words into the same set when correlation of the two hot words is greater than a first preset threshold value; calculating a co-occurrence degree between every two hot word sets, and merging the two hot word sets when the co-occurrence degree between the two hot-word sets is greater than a second preset threshold value; and calculating a co-occurrence degree between every two hot words in each hot word set, carryingout counting of the co-occurrence degree of each hot word, and selecting multiple hot words, of which co-occurrence degrees are arranged in the forefront, to use the same as names of corresponding hot-point topics. The method and the system carries out discovery operations of the network hot-point topics from an angle of the hot words, and more accord with definition of the hot topics; and ensurehigh correlation of internal information of the hot-point topics through combination of the related hot words and the co-occurrence hot-word sets at the same time, can realize accurate discovery of the network hot-point topics at the same time, and facilitate an effect that a user intuitively identifies the network hot-point topics.
