Benefits of technology

This patented technology improves the stability of batteries used for storing energy when they are cold or warm compared to previous designs that had trouble maintaining their quality level after being charged/discharged below certain temperatures. It also includes adding an external device called SCRB into the design to control its behavior over different states of charge levels. Overall this new structure enhances the overall effectiveness of these cells even if it works well outside those specified range.

Problems solved by technology

This patents discuss how different types of materials can affect the properties of Li ion batteries during use under varying temperatures conditions (low/high). Existing techniques like measuring them individually require specialized tools and involve complicated procedures. Additionally, existing tests only work well when tested on smaller samples - making accurate analysis difficult without sacrificial results over time.

Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a system for evaluating consistency of lithium ion batteries, and belongs to the technical field of detection of power batteries. The method comprises the following steps of performing forming and capacity grading treatment on a plurality of lithium ion batteries with same nominal capacity, so as to obtain the primarily graded lithium ion batteries; performingalternating current impedance spectrum testing on the primarily graded lithium ion batteries at low temperature, so as to obtain the charge transfer impedance of the primarily graded lithium ion batteries; according to the size of the charge transfer impedance, evaluating the consistency of the primarily graded lithium ion batteries. The method has the advantages that by additionally performing the alternating current impedance testing on the batteries at low temperature, the problem of better consistency of electric properties of the batteries at normal temperature but poorer consistency at low temperature is relieved, the batteries are reasonably grouped, and the excellent properties of the battery groups during charging and discharging at low temperature and normal temperature are guaranteed.
