Abstract

The invention discloses a content-customizable field-based stream matching method. The method includes the following steps that: a network user autonomously customizes a data stream format for streammatching; the customized data stream format is reported to a control plane; matching fields in a first stream table in the customized data stream format are matched with corresponding fields in data streams to be matched according to the matching fields; data stream types are distinguished according to protocol types in MAC headers, and the distinguished data streams are forwarded to a corresponding stream table group for further matching; if the matching of the data streams to be matched is successful, a switching device forwards the successfully-matched data streams, makes the data streams skip to another stream table, reports the data streams to the control plane or perform deep analysis operation on the data streams; and if the matching of the data streams to be matched fails, the datastreams of which the matching fails are reported or discarded. The above method has good flexibility and scalability while being compatible with an existing network, can greatly broaden the design thinking of network researchers, and is of great significance for the future research of the Internet.
