Abstract

Airports, air routes and controlled sectors constitute an air traffic dependent network. When nodes are disturbed, the network transport performance degrades, which leads to network vulnerability. Theinvention provides a method for measuring the vulnerability of an air traffic dependent network. Firstly, an airport network, an air route network and a control sector network are constructed, and anair traffic dependent network model is established based on the logical connection relationship between the air traffic management rules and the layer network. Under two different failure modes of random disturbance and deliberate disturbance nodes, the structural vulnerability of dependent networks is analyzed by using the maximum connectivity and structural entropy. Flow entropy and traffic flow loss ratio are established to study the functional vulnerability of dependent networks. The results show that stochastic disturbance has more influence on the air traffic dependent network. The structural and functional fragility of the network is the airport network; the vulnerability of the network is related to the mismatch between the connectivity of the layer networks and the traffic volumeof the layer networks.
