A method comprises the steps of for each WiFi identity scanned in an area, obtaining at least one piece of signal strength corresponding to the WiFi identity within preset duration; clustering the signal strength until at least two signal strength sets which obey unimodal distribution are obtained through clustering, when the signal strength obeys non-unimodal distribution; obtaining target signal strength corresponding to the WiFi identities according to each signal strength set; and generating a WiFi fingerprint of the area according to each WiFi identity and the target signal strength corresponding to each WiFi identity. According to the methods, the devices, the equipment and the memory medium, the obtained WiFi fingerprint can accurately reflect a signal strength level of the area, and on the basis of providing relatively much and comprehensive reference information in a follow-up WiFi fingerprint matching process, indoor positioning precision is greatly improved.
