Abstract

The invention provides a transmission method and a transmission device for a data packet. The method comprises the following steps of: receiving a data packet sent by a first application program; resolving the Service Name carried by the data package into a corresponding second Pod IP through a DNS (Domain Name System); and transmitting the data packet to a second Pod corresponding to the second Pod IP. According to the transmission method and the transmission device for the data packet, the IP address in the related technology is replaced by the Service Name, so that configuring /etc/hosts file is no longer needed; and Kubernetes can be automatically adjusted when faults or new addition or the like is in a container, so that /etc/hosts files on other containers do not need to be rewritten, thereby solving the problem that process of the cluster adjustment due to change of the container is complicated in the related technology, avoiding configuration modification of the container afterrescheduling, and reducing development and operation and maintenance work.
