Abstract

The invention discloses a design method suitable for evaluating large involute template of involute measuring instrument. In the method, a standard theory based involute profile of a large gear is replaced by a curved arc; the principle error of the two-axis arc type large involute template is obtained by calculating the deviation between the arc and the theoretical involute; different sizes of two-axis arc type large involute template are produced by adjusting the detection arc radius rc of a standard block and the center distance O1O2 between the center of a centering axis and the center ofa reference block detection arc. The principle error curve of the two-axis arc type large involute template designed according to the parameters is a double hump curve. When calibrating a measuring instrument with a large gear by using the two-axis arc type large involute template, the measurement result is different from the traditional involute template. The error of the instrument can be represented by error compensation of the obtained result.
