The invention discloses a geological structure surface extraction method and device based on an optical image, and the method comprises the steps: collecting an optical image sequence of a geologicalobject, generating dense point clouds from the optical image sequence, and obtaining the real spatial positions of the dense point clouds; calculating a normal vector of each point in the dense pointcloud, and calculating a corresponding local occurrence according to the normal vector of each point; dividing the geological object into a plurality of homogeneous region units according to image texture semantics, and determining each pixel point set with consistency in the homogeneous region units as a structural plane unit; and merging and clustering the adjacent structural plane units with similar occurrence, and establishing a geological topological adjacent map of the structural plane unit set. By adopting the scheme, homogeneous region unit division is carried out through image texturesemantics, and combined clustering of structural plane units is carried out in combination with occurrence, so that discrimination of a structural plane and a non-structural plane is effectively realized, and extraction of the structural plane is carried out.
