Abstract

The invention discloses a fusion defogging method for a medical operation video image. The fusion defogging method comprises the following three main steps: visibility recovery; contrast enhancement; and brightness fusion. Compared with the existing defogging technology, the method provided by the invention has better performance, and in addition, the method provided by the invention is suitable for natural fog videos and high dynamic range images, such as images with insufficient exposure and excessive exposure. Visibility is recovered and contrast of a foggy image is enhanced. In order to solve the problem of color fidelity introduced by visibility recovery, the brightness of a recovered image and the brightness of an enhanced image are fused in a gradient domain, and the brightness of the fused image is reconstructed by solving a Poisson equation in a frequency domain.
