The invention provides a method for prolonging the service life of a mechanical hard disk, a storage device and a system.The method comprises the steps that the state of each sector in each mechanical hard disk is obtained, and whether a fault sector exists in the mechanical hard disk or not is determined according to the state of each sector; if the number of the faulty sectors in the mechanical hard disk is smaller than a set value, fault identifiers are set for the faulty sectors, and the faulty sectors are isolated from other sectors in the same mechanical hard disk; when a data read-write request is received, determining whether data corresponding to the data read-write request is located in the fault sector; if the data corresponding to the data read-write request is located in the fault sector, error reminding information is sent out. According to the scheme, the data read-write performance is guaranteed.
