The method comprises the steps of designing an artificial lightning triggering test loop and establishing a corresponding electromagnetic transient simulation model by statistically analyzing parameter characteristics of continuous lightning stroke lightning current in an artificial lightning triggering system in a target area; performing simulation to determine the effective length of a drainage rod, the length of a leading-out wire, the tail end grounding resistance and a voltage measuring device and a current measuring device needed by the test, setting a manual lightning triggering test loop on site, performing a manual lightning triggering test, and integrating the simulation data and test results to obtain the voltage and current characteristics of continuous lightning stroke propagation along the line.
