Abstract

The method comprises the following steps that: a following motorcade model is constructed; an automatic driving control algorithm is applied to generate the following motorcade model on a side lane of a test vehicle, and the following motorcade model is injected into the test vehicle through an RSU for testing; the test vehicle sends a merging request to the following motorcade, detects and identifies time headway feedback in the following motorcade, and performs merging operation when a safe merging opportunity appears; and the merging operation is evaluated on a virtual simulation platform physical engine. Thus, after a merging test based on the heuristic evaluation strategy is carried out in the simulated high-density traffic flow, the motor vehicle has the capability of driving in the high-density traffic flow in a real driving environment to complete the merging operation.
