Abstract

The present invention provides memory device access method and device. In one embodiment of the present invention, the memory device has two channels with asymmetric memory array configurations. That is, these two channels have at least one unpaired memory array except at least one paired memory array to constitute the symmetrically configured part. During accessing the memory device, single channel transmission bandwidth is used in accessing the asymmetric configuration part while double channel high frequency transmission bandwidth is used in accessing the symmetric configuration part. In this way, the present invention can utilize the double channel characteristic in raise the access efficiency of memory device with asymmetric memory array configuration.
