A method for predicting impact over-voltage of generator includes using generator equivalent-actually operated by generator active transient state circuit to monitor impact over-voltage at entrance end of generator in real time through setting up generator active transient state circuit model, reappearing and restructuring impact over-voltage being used as entrance impact voltage source of said transient sate circuit, deriving out network transient state circuit formed by said active transient state circuit and said voltage source for predicting over-voltage distribution on stator winding and over-voltage damage on generator.
