Abstract

The method comprises the steps that: a destination MAC address of a local backbone network and VLAN ID of the backbone network are configured and added into a local topology table; the destination MAC address of the local backbone network and the VLAN ID of the backbone network are transmitted to an adjacent device by a multiprotocol border gateway protocol (MP-BGP) and the destination MAC address of the local backbone network and the VLAN ID of the backbone network sent by the adjacent device by the MP-BGP are received and stored in the local topology table; a provider backbone bridge-traffic engineering (PBB-TE) tunnel is established according to information in the local topology table. In the embodiment of theinvention, the PBB-TE tunnel is dynamically established according to the information carried by the MP-BGP and a new tunnel can be automatically generated in a convergent manner when a link circuit fails; when network topologies change, for example, new nodes are added, nodes relevant to the new nodes can automatically update without need of manual configuration.
