Abstract

In a liquid container, uniformity of liquid therein is improved. The liquid container for supplying a liquid to a liquid consuming apparatus includes: a liquid containing section that contains the liquid; a liquid supply section that supplies the liquid to the liquid consuming apparatus; a liquid flow section that connects from the liquid containing section to the liquid supply section; a sensor that is provided in the liquid flow section and used for detecting presence or absence of the liquid at a corresponding position thereof; and a stirring member that stirs the liquid, the stirring member is provided at a position between the sensor and the liquid supply section in the liquid flow section.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a liquid containing body for supplying liquid to a liquid consuming device. Background technique [0002] There is known an inkjet printer which is equipped with an ink cartridge containing ink, and prints on a printing medium by consuming the ink supplied from the ink cartridge. As the ink contained in the ink cartridge, ink obtained by mixing a plurality of components having different specific gravity, such as pigment ink, may be used. With the passage of time, the components with high specific gravity in this ink may precipitate, resulting in a decrease in the uniformity of the ink. [0003] Here, a technique is known in which an agitating body such as a ball is arranged in an ink storage chamber of an ink cartridge to improve ink uniformity (for example, Patent Document 1).
