Embodiment Construction

[0031] Other objects, features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent by consideration of the following detailed description and accompanying drawings.

[0032] With reference to the drawings, it will be appreciated that the principles of the present invention are embodied in a kit / kit 10 comprising a main body 12 including a cylindrical side wall 14 (which may be transparent where appropriate), a first wall 16 (When the device is on e.g. figure 1 The use orientation shown, which is the bottom wall), and opening 20 bounded by rim 22 to which cover 30 is releasably attached. The drug delivery channel 40 of the cylindrical drug cartridge is defined on a portion of the side wall and extends between the first wall and the rim and terminates at a drug delivery port 42 (coplanar with the side wall opening). Pills and the like are stored in the main body 12 to be dispensed when needed.

Abstract

The invention relates to a medicament box/medicament dispenser, which comprises a fingerprint recognition circuit positioned in a cover connected to the medicament box. The cover is locked on the medicament box, and if the cover is not moved at first, tablets cannot be dispensed from the medicament box. When a person puts a thumb on the cover of the medicament dispenser, a computer chip reads thefingerprint of the thumb. If the person is an authorized user, the cover is opened and released from the medicament box, so that pills can be dispensed from the medicament box. If the fingerprint is not recognized, the cover remains locked in the position, so that the pills cannot be dispensed. In addition, if the computer chip recognizes interference, for example, an unauthorized user continuously tries to move the cover, chemical spray sprays from the cover to the inside of the medicament box. The spray can dilute or destroy the effectiveness of the remaining pills in the medicament box.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates generally to pill kits and, more particularly, to pill kits incorporating locking means for preventing pills from being dispensed therefrom until the locking means is released. Background technique [0002] A tablet is a mixture of active substance and recipients, usually in powder form, pressed or compressed into a solid. Excipients include binders, filter aids, and lubricants to ensure efficient tablet compression; disintegrants to ensure that the tablet is broken down in the digestive tract; sweeteners or flavorings to mask the taste of off-tasting active ingredients; and Colors to make uncoated tablets visually appealing. Coatings can be used to mask the taste of the tablet components, to make the tablet smoother and easier to swallow, and to make it more resistant to the environment, with the resultant extension of its shelf life. [0003] Medications taken by mouth are usually available in tablet form. Tablets and...
