The invention discloses a planting method for enhancing fruit setting rate of date trees and is characterized in that air humidity during germination of date tree pollen is lower than 60-70%, rate of pollen germination can obviously decrease, therefore, when draught occurs during initial bloom stage or full bloom stage of date trees, spraying clear water on date flowers can promote pollen germination to improve fruit setting rate by 15-40%; water spraying time is selected after 4 p.m. everyday, preferably at dusk; each date tree of median size is sprayed by clear water, 3.5-4.5kg / time, once every 3 days, twice in total, and the spraying is required to be careful and uniform; gibberellin (5*10<-6>-10*10<-6>) or date tree fruit setting pesticide is sprayed once during bloom stage to enhance fruit setting rate by around 50%; 2.4-D (10*10<-6>) or naphthyl ethanol (15*10<-6>) is sprayed during immature fruit stage to inhibit fruit stems from producing absciss layers to reduce abscission of fruits. The invention solves the problems of high flowering rate, low fruit setting rate and little yield of date trees in tree fruit production, and is suitable for flowering stage management of various dates.
